Post-Conference Notes

The Center for Creativity and Innovation's 3rd Conference, "Innovating the Upturn: Creating the Future," featured dynamic plenary and breakout sessions, and an outstanding keynote address by Tom Schlegel of Radio Flyer, Inc., winner of the Chicago Innovation Award. The Conference was our largest to date, with nearly one hundred participants from the Chicago area business, non-profit and academic communities.
The first Innovation Advocacy Award was presented at the Conference to Carol Oman, Beacon of Ingenuity, Consumer Innovation, at Kraft Foods. The Award was created to recognize extraordinary service to the field to promote greater understanding and growth, and to celebrate people who contribute significant efforts to educating future innovators and supporting innovation in the business community.
